Matt’s Legacy
Staff Sgt. Matthew McClintock was a proud Albuquerque native and a dedicated Green Beret who lived a life of courage, service, and sacrifice. He joined the U.S. Army in 2006, serving with distinction in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Philippines, and Thailand as part of both active duty and National Guard Special Forces units.
Matt earned numerous military honors, including the Silver Star and Purple Heart, for his bravery and leadership. He was highly trained in specialized operations and remembered for his unwavering commitment to his teammates and mission.
Above all, Matt was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the values he stood for — duty, honor, and selfless service.
This 5K Fun Run is held in his memory, celebrating the life of a true hero and raising awareness and support for the community he loved.
